How you can help
Rebuilding a village takes many hands. Whether you can give financially, share the story, or help connect this effort to organizations and communities, your support makes a difference.
1. Make a donation
The most direct way to help is to contribute financially to the Pathahewaheta Village Cyclone Relief Fund. Donations are processed securely in USD and used for immediate relief and long-term rebuilding.
For donations above $10,000 or organization-level support, please contact the coordination team directly.
2. Share the campaign
If you cannot give much, or even if you already have, sharing the campaign is one of the most powerful actions you can take. When more people know what happened, more help can reach the village.
Suggested short text to share:
A village in Sri Lanka’s Kandy District has been hit by a devastating cyclone and landslides. Thousands of homes are damaged and over 1,000 families are homeless. If you are able, please take a moment to read and support the Pathahewaheta Village Cyclone Relief Fund.
You can share this message together with the main website link to help others learn more and donate.
3. Connect partners and sponsors
If you represent an organization, foundation, company, or community group that might be able to support larger-scale rebuilding projects, please reach out. Partnerships for infrastructure, schools, and long-term resilience projects are especially valuable.
To explore partnerships, please contact the coordination team using the details on our contact page.
